Maundy Thursday Worship | April 1
It had been a night of intimacy and communion. A night of serving and savoring. It was a Passover like no other. After the meal was over, after the revelry of God’s faithfulness to his people, Jesus went out into the garden to pray. And there, Jesus came face to face with the Father’s will - the hard reality which lay before him for the sake of humanity. There, as he knelt upon the rocky ground, tears and bloody sweat met the earth. What would those rocks say?

Maundy Thursday ServiceOn the traditional Church calendar, the Thursday before Easter was known as Maundy Thursday, commemorating the Last Supper of Christ and the Apostles. This year, we'll be celebrating a Covenant Meal together as a Church.
This year will be a little different now! We encourage you to set the dinner table and turn on the service and watch together as a family! There will be a time for communion. So grab some juice and bread!

Maundy Thursday 2021 — Redeemer DowntownThis is Redeemer Downtown's Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2021, livestream worship service. During the livestream, we will encourage those who are participating from home to join us in the Lord's Supper. If you partake from home, you will need to provide your own bread and wine or grape juice and you will be given instructions so you can partake at the same time. You may use separate cups or a common cup if partaking as a family. If you watch the service later that Maundy Thursday evening, you are welcome to take the Lord’s supper then. However, we discourage you from using the livestream video to partake of the Lord’s supper at a later date.
Throughout Holy Week we have different services and opportunities to gather virtually and would love to have you join us. You can find these opportunities on our online calendar — downtown.redeemer.com/calendar. We're thankful to have you join us for worship!
